You are missed, my friend.

Lynn was usually the first person I saw every morning at Tamiscal. She never failed to say hello and always asked how I was doing with "and how is Miss Nancy doing this morning?". She was a woman of high integrity and honesty. She was the constant presence in the office through several staff assistants; clerks, and four principals. There were times in the years past that Lynn was the ONLY constant, dependable presence in the office. She really took her responsibilities to heart and tried to meet the needs of our very "divergent" staff promptly, efficiently and mostly without too much "grumbling". Sometimes she looked a bit forbidding, like you probably did not want to ask her for the 5th time what happened to your book order. We were all guilty, I think, of not appreciating enough how much work she did. The piles of orders, appointments, grades, accounting work she had on her desk and in her head. She was probably thinking... well, let's just say I was glad she was not telling me what she was thinking! But when Lynn smiled, the sun came out. Her smile lit up her whole face. Her wicked sense of humor lightened many of my tough days. She was my confidante, such a good listener. She was my colleague and she was my friend. And I miss her. And to her family: I want you to know that Lynn often talked about you all. She loved her trips down south to her brother and sister in law. We shared stories about Jerry's legendary projects; Renee was so cherished. We compared notes on which of our daughters was more stubborn and headstrong. We both agreed that this was actually a good thing. Anyway...just wanted you to know that. Nancy
